I have bees!!! Hopefully they stay :-)

Bernard (my mentor from Bee Keepers Association) and I tried to get them to 'walk' into the hive but they just stayed on the sheet, so at 10:30pm we dumped them in the hive.  They were very calm and compliant which was good.

This morning all is quite but that is because I have blocked the hive entrance to force them to stay, I will open it after 24 hours once they are used to the hive and then hopefully they will stay.

Moving fridge.........finally!

Alison came up with a great idea of moving the large fridge from the annex into the house.  If she had this idea sooner it would have saved a lot of cold trips to the annex over the winter :-)

I have finished painting the wall and replaced the piece of counter top since I took this photo.

Lego portrait of.....

Don't ask me what brought this on but I spent about 4 hours making this lego portrait two days ago.  I used up all of the kids black & white lego. 

It would cost me £63 to buy the pieces to make it out of new lego!!!  But I might have to do it to keep the kids happy.

If you look at it too close-up then it doesn't look very good, but from across the room it looks great.

I am taking orders if anyone wants to commission a portrait, the normal price is £499, but for family it is only £450 ;-)
